Nashville Tuning

There is a nice trick to help an acoustic guitar to sit in mix. This technique called “Nashville tuning”.

Try to record an acoustic guitar with low strings tuned one octave up. For this matter you could use strings from 12-string guitar or from another usual 6-string set. So, “Nashville tuned” guitar will be:

1st string (E) - normal pitch
2nd string (B) - normal pitch
3rd string (G) - octave up
4th string (D) - octave up
5th string (A) - octave up
6th string (E) - octave up
